The Study Committee

Lower Farmington and Salmon Brook Wild & Scenic Study Committee

Community leadership and involvement in the study process was critical for its success. The study was conducted by the local Lower Farmington River & Salmon Brook Wild & Scenic Study Committee. The Study Committee will continue to meet until the watercourses are designated. The Committee’s membership includes representatives from each town in the study area (see below) and representatives from Stanley-Black & Decker, the National Park Service, the Farmington River Watershed Association and Salmon Brook Watershed Association. The National Park Service provides staff support and overall coordination.
