The Lower Farmington River and Salmon Brook Wild and Scenic Committee (LFSWS) is proud to present its Annual Report for the fiscal year 2024 (October 2023 through September 2024).
The report summarizes the work we have done with respect to the river and brook’s special resources for which they were federally designated Wild & Scenic — Water Quality, Biological Diversity, Recreation, Cultural Landscape, and Geology. You will see examples of how we spent our federal funding in protecting and enhancing the two watercourses and how we have reached out to the riverfront communities to explain our mission and to involve our neighbors in safeguarding the streams in their towns.
