Thank you for your interest in the lower Farmington River and Salmon Brook. Here you can learn about the character of these two watercourses and what special resources make them eligible to be designated Wild & Scenic and included in the National Park Service’s Wild & Scenic Rivers System. The map shows the Wild & Scenic-designated segments of the two watercourses and also the “excluded” segments which are not river-like in character because of dams that long preceded designation.
